Architectural accessibility

Galeria Śluza is located in the historical area of the former Prussian fortifications. You can enter the Gallery from the side of the main hall of Porta Posnania. Then you walk over a glass footbridge suspended by the Cybina River. You can also enter it from Dziekańska Street on Ostrów Tumski. The glass door to Galeria Śluza is automatically sliding. There are no thresholds and the sidewalk leading to the entrance is even and smooth. In the Gallery tab, a file with an audio description of the building is available. There are bowls with water for pets. Assistance dogs can also enter the exhibition rooms. The exhibitions occupy 5 halls located on two levels: 0 and -1. On level -1, you can only take the stairs down. We can also provide support in carrying a disabled person down. We are committed to making this space available to all visitors. Before entering the rooms at level 0, on the sides of the smooth pavement, there is a pavement made of uneven stones. The rooms of Galeria Śluza are finished with semi-circular vaults, and the thick walls are made of bricks. On level 0, the windows are often shadowed for the needs of exhibitions. On level -1, there is only artificial, directional light (no daylight). Around Galeria Śluza, there are TOTUpoint tags. They are located in two places: on the light post from Dziekańska Street and at the entrance to the glass footbridge from the main hall of Porta Posnania.
