We are in a settlement!

Hey! We are in a defensive settlement built more than 1,000 years ago. It’s even earlier than grandpa Rysiu’s grandpa lived!

In those times, people had to make everything by hand: sew a shirt and shoes, catch fish, mould a plate from clay, bake bread and even build a house and a boat.

Children could play but they also had to help their parents, for example, by looking after the animals.

Warriors made sure that everyone was safe. They observed the area from tall defensive ramparts surrounding the settlement.
