Life in a settlement

1,000 years ago people could not just go to the grocer’s to buy something to eat. Providing food for your family required a lot of effort. Many animals, such as cows, horses, sheep and hens, lived alongside people in the settlement. Thanks to them the inhabitants had eggs, milk and wool for clothes. But they had to collect them by hand.
