Introducing the Family

We will discover the everyday reality of life in the post-war Poznań through the lens of one symbolic family. Although their story is fictional and was created for the purpose of this exhibition, it is a compilation of true stories. Let’s meet Jadwiga and Zenon and their children – 15-year-old Janina and 8-year-old Bronek – as well as the senior member of the family – Teofil, Zenon’s father. The family lives in an annex of one of the tenement houses in the city centre. This is where they lived through the occupation.
