Rozalia Ogonowska, May you not be carried by the Earth, 2019

Rozalia Ogonowska is a graduate of Animation. Her work is one of only few works made by graduates, meaning students who graduated from the University but do not teach there, which were included in the collection.

The painterly tale told directly on celluloid film is a moving interpretation of a folk song. It is a story about a broken heart and class divisions. A young girl has to face the fact that her sweetheart chose to marry a richer woman, which inevitably leads to a tragic end. The video consists of 575 hand-painted frames.
