Framing and glazing workshop. Sławomir and Robert Antkowiak

It was their great-grandfather Franciszek who started the glazing business already before the Second World War. He would mostly install window panes. After 1945 he moved his workshop to the district of Śródka where it is still today. It was run first by Franciszek’s son Aleksander and then by his grandson Jerzy. From 1995 it has been run by Sławomir and Robert – the fourth generation. Nowadays they mainly frame paintings.

‘My great-grandfather Franciszek started in Komandoria (at ul. Zaniemyska). He delivered glass on a bike, in a special box which he wore on his back. He came to customers and installed window panes for them.’
