The beginnings of work in the profession

Sławomir’s story is similar. However, in his case it was not obvious that he would decide to continue the family tradition:

‘I planned to choose a different profession. I wanted to be a mechanic. But I was “forced” by my mother to help my father. Then my brother joined me and that’s how it stayed till this day. I do not regret being made to do this. I went to a construction technical school but I studied in the evenings so I was already working at my father’s place, too. Then my brother joined us. He also graduated from a construction technical school.’

‘It is an honourable profession. I enjoy it till this day. Because you don’t have to bend. If a glass pane falls down, there’s no point in bending… There’s nothing left to pick up.’
